Imagine a protected corner of the Ural Mountains, where heavy spruce paws are covered with fluffy snow for at least four months a year, the air rings with silence, and the frost pleasantly bites your cheeks. Occasionally, skiers in bright suits will rush past with a whistle or an awkward stagger, and under the mountain, a cozy hotel awaits its guests, ruffled. And even though the local heights are far from the Alpine or even the Caucasus Mountains, the beauty of this region and the democratic nature of the direction more than pay for all the pathos of the four-thousanders. This is Mount Belaya, a small resort located in the Middle Urals, just 37 km from Nizhny Tagil.

How to get there

The largest city closest to White Mountain, which receives trains from many regions of our vastness, is Nizhny Tagil. The city does not have its own airport, so most tourists use the Yekaterinburg airport. Dozens of flights from many Russian cities land daily at Koltsovo Airport, including from Moscow (flight time 2 hours 20 minutes) and St. Petersburg (2 hours 40 minutes). Then you can quickly travel from Yekaterinburg to Tagil by train, for example, on the Lastochka (2 hours; a regular train takes 3 hours 10 minutes). Further - easier.

100 m from the Nizhny Tagil railway station there is a bus station, from where bus No. 113 runs to Mount Belaya, the journey takes 1 hour 15 minutes, departures twice a day: around 11:00 and 15:00. By car you need to follow the Sverdlovsk Highway from the city, as a landmark you can enter the village of Uralets into your navigator, which is located 2 km from the slope.

However, the bulk of skiers arrive at the resort by car. The approach to Belaya Gora from Yekaterinburg is along the Serovsky tract: you need to go around Nizhny Tagil, turn following the signs to Uralets, then straight ahead to the “Europe - Asia” stele, where you need to turn left. From Yekaterinburg to the resort it is about 165 km, from Chelyabinsk - 390 km.

Alpine skiing on Belaya Gora

The slopes of Belaya are suitable for both experienced athletes, for whom there is a narrow descent with sharp changes, and for beginners. The last ones on Belaya will have a wide track. The mountain will also delight fans of extreme sports - there is a steep descent with many sharp turns and jumps for them.

Trails

There are 5 trails open for skiers on Belaya with a total length of 6 km and a height difference of 247 m. The trails have not been certified by the International Alpine Ski Federation, but are conventionally divided into 1 green (training), 2 blue, 2 red. The length of the longest slope is 1900 m. In the evening, there are 2 illuminated trails on Belaya.

From the top of the mountain, equipped with an observation deck, a beautiful panorama of Nevyansk, Kirovgrad, Verkhniy Tagil and even Yekaterinburg opens.

Ski pass

The complex is equipped with 1 chair lift and 2 rope tows. The cost of one lift on a chairlift is 80 RUB on weekdays and 110 RUB on weekends, on a single lift - 40 and 50 RUB, on a double lift - 60 and 70 RUB, respectively. To lift your inflatable cheesecake and slide down the mountain, you can also use the lifts - the cost is 60 RUB from Monday to Friday and 70 RUB on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Prices on the page are for October 2018.

The cost of a day pass is 1500 RUB on weekdays and 1800 RUB on weekends. A ski pass for 2 hours will cost 500 RUB, for weekends (Saturday and Sunday) - 600 RUB. Children under 5 years old are free, pensioners with presentation of an ID receive a 50% discount.

Please note that the chairlift, children's playroom and ski service are only available from Friday to Sunday. The lifts lift skiers every day, and the luggage storage is open all week. Opening hours: approximately 10:00 to 21:00 depending on the time of year.

Accommodation

For accommodation on the territory of the ski complex, a private hotel has been built, accommodating up to 50 people, with a sauna, billiards, gym and bar. The complex also has its own fitness center with a games room and a 6-lane swimming pool.

Cafes and restaurants of Belaya Gora

There is a restaurant, cafe and bistro on the territory of the ski complex.

The Edelweiss restaurant, located in the hotel building, is the most pretentious local establishment where you can have a good dinner, but during the season, keep in mind that the hall can accommodate no more than 30 people. Cafe "Eurasia" is located at the bottom station of the chairlift, this is the main place for parties and après ski, it can easily accommodate up to 150 skiers. Finally, on the 2nd floor of the service center, the democratic bistro “On the Hill” is open.

Entertainment and attractions

The White Mountain does not have any special attractions. In the neighboring village of Uralets, somewhat abandoned, you can see a nice wooden church in honor of St. Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg, 2004. Nearby, in the forests, there are a couple of nice ponds with a dam on the Martyan River. At the top of the mountain there is an observation deck, and small rock formations also attract attention - these are rocky placers of kurum: a chaotic pile of stones up to 2 m in size. Finally, you can go to the “Europe - Asia” stele. The rest of the “mast-si” are located in Nizhny Tagil, which is about 40 km away.

In addition to alpine skiing, White Mountain offers an ice skating rink in winter (every day from 10:00 to 21:45, admission is free), a tubing track, and two cross-country ski tracks. In addition, you can rent a snowmobile and go conquer virgin lands. As part of the further development of the ski complex on Belaya, it is planned to build a snow park.

From May to October there are excellent routes for cycling tourism, karting, a paintball arena, a rope adventure park, rollerblading and bicycle rentals. You can take walks in the surrounding mountains, have picnics in specially equipped gazebos, and even use the chairlift to admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding area from the mountain.

Weather

Belaya Gora has a temperate continental climate with well-defined seasons. The skiing season is standard for the Urals - from early December to late March. But the resort has one trick: thanks to a natural anomaly, much more snow falls on Belaya than on all the surrounding slopes. This is why this resort is so popular among off-piste skiers.

Including bonuses, you can pay for the full cost of the lift. Bonuses cannot be transferred to another card. They are not converted into rubles and cannot be cashed out. There are 5 illuminated trails of varying degrees of difficulty:

How to get there?

The Mount Belaya ski center is located 30 km from Nizhny Tagil in the Sverdlovsk region, near the village of Uralets.

From Yekaterinburg along the Serovsky tract after the village. Lenevka turn left (near the ERGO gas station), onto the bypass road, past Nizhny Tagil. We follow it following the signs for Chernoistochinsk and Uralets. Further, without turning to Chernoistochinsk, turn right along the road to Uralets. At the “Europe-Asia” obelisk, follow the sign “Mountain Belaya Ski Complex”, turn left and along the road after 2 kilometers you will reach the parking areas at the foot of Belaya. From the Serov side, without entering the city - follow the sign "Chernoistochinsk, "Belaya Mountain"".

The Mount Belaya ski complex is located in the Prigorodny district of the Sverdlovsk region, next to another famous ski resort on Mount Ezhovaya. However, the trails on Mount Belaya are longer and there is more snow, which makes it more interesting for freeride lovers.

On Mount Belaya there are 5 ski slopes (one of which is training) with a height difference of up to 247 m. All slopes are illuminated and sounded, beginner athletes train on them and all-Russian level competitions are held. Since there is no full-fledged snowpark on the territory of the complex, a special track with uneven surfaces along its entire length was organized for snowboarders. To the side of the ski slopes there is a slope for “cheesecakes” with its own lift. As for freeriders, there is a huge forest at their disposal, where there are opportunities for off-piste skiing, and cross-country skiing trails are laid at the foot of the mountain.

Guests of the complex provide equipment rental and maintenance services, luggage storage and skiing and snowboarding lessons.

Mount Belaya is one of the most beautiful places in the Middle Urals, with great tourism potential. In the future, it is planned to increase the number of slopes by 5 times, create a modern snow park, install several additional ski lifts, and build a ski stadium with a shooting range. All this will turn the Belaya Mountain GC not only into one of the best ski resorts in the country, but will also allow the development of Olympic sports such as biathlon, snowboarding, slalom, freestyle and much more.

What else can you do at the Belaya Mountain ski resort?

Life on Mount Belaya is in full swing all year round. In summer, the winter skating rink turns into a sports ground, after the snow melts on the mountain slopes, trails for mountain biking and walking routes open, snowmobiles are replaced by ATVs, and on the plain there is a paintball shooting range, a paintball court, a rope park and go-karting. A fitness center with a swimming pool, games and gyms, a sauna, billiards, picnic pavilions and a cozy cafe is open all year round, and on the top of the mountain there is an observation deck from where you can see for many kilometers around.

When does the ski season start on Mount Belaya?

A special feature of Mount Belaya is the abundance of snow that covers its slopes from autumn to mid-spring. This allows the season to open as early as November, and close only in April, with the onset of warmer weather. The temperate continental climate is favorable for winter sports, the temperature stays around -14°C and only occasional winds can cause discomfort for skiers and snowboarders.

How to get to the Belaya Mountain GC?

The complex is located near the village of Uralets, 37 km from Nizhny Tagil and 183 km from Yekaterinburg. Once a week a bus leaves from Yekaterinburg to Mount Belaya, and bus No. 113 runs from the bus station in Nizhny Tagil to the resort twice a day.

By car: from Yekaterinburg go to Nizhny Tagil along the Serovsky tract. Having passed the village of Lenevka, turn from it onto the bypass road and follow it to the village of Chernoistochinsk, but turn not to the village, but to the right - to the village of Uralets. Near the “Europe-Asia” obelisk, you need to turn left, according to the sign, and drive another 2 km to the parking lot near Mount Belaya.

How much does it cost to stay at the Belaya Mountain ski resort and where is the best place to stay?

The hotel at the complex has 27 rooms, including two-level luxury rooms. Room rates start at 3,610 rubles, and this amount includes breakfast and a one-time visit to the pool.

In Nizhny Tagil (about 40 km from the ski resort) you can comfortably stay for a more modest amount - the Solnechnaya hostel rents beds at a price of 490 rubles, the PoduShkinn hostel offers a place in 8-bed rooms for the same price rooms, and an entire double room can be rented for RUB 1,600. The cost of a double room in other hotels in the city is about 2,500 rubles.

“Mount Belaya” is a year-round sports complex. In summer there are ski lift excursions, paintball, rope park and mountain biking. In winter, Bela Gora offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing and sledding. Pros: there is snow 3 seasons a year; Near Nizhny Tagil, there is a hotel, 5 trails with a total length of 6,000 meters and an extremely sharp slope. Cons: none found. Ordinary tourists and beginner skiers start from two “tourist” slopes: 1,900 and 1,800 meters. For those who are starting to ski for the first time, the instructor will recommend a training track. Its length is 490 meters. “Bela Gora” is also a competition venue. Sports tracks stretch for 890 and 900 meters. The complex has 4 lifts: one-, two- and four-seater.

GLC Mountain Belaya: where to stay?

The Belaya Mountain ski complex boasts its own hotel. This is a 52-bed guesthouse where a swimming pool, sauna, gym and billiards are open to the public. The rooms are varied: from standard to two-story apartments. Interestingly, the Belaya Mountain hotel complex welcomes discounts and special offers. So, on weekdays they promise a 15% discount, and if you check in on Sunday, the room will cost 2 times cheaper!

Mount Belaya Nizhny Tagil: how to get there?

• Distance Nizhny Tagil mountain Belaya- 37 kilometers. The best way to get from this city is by public transport. Thus, bus No. 113 departs from the bus station daily along the route “Nizhny Tagil Belaya Mountain”. Departure times: 10:40 and 15:00. In the opposite direction, the same bus also runs twice a day: at 12:20 and 16:30.
